17 (A)[a]And whosoever hath this [b]world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and [c]shutteth up his compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

18 [d]My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue only, but in deed and in truth.

19 [e]For thereby we know that we are of the truth, [f]and shall before him assure our hearts.
